Suzlon Group, a producer of renewable energy solutions, said on Wednesday that its S144 – 3 MW series of wind turbines got the RLMM (Revised List of Models and Manufacturers) designation from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
According to the company’s regulatory filing, this listing is a key step towards the product’s successful commercialization.
Suzlon has already established the first prototype of this series at the Gondal site in Gujarat, with a hub height of 160m and a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower.
According to J.P. Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, the listing comes at an ideal moment after the S144 product got a positive reaction from the market, as evidenced by the significant order inflow.
According to the business, the device is currently in the process of serial manufacture and commercialization.
Given India’s diverse wind regimes and terrains, the S144 turbine is designed to be site-specific and capable of greater PLFs (plant load factor). With 90% local components, the S144 – 3 MW series is a real tribute to ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
At around 12.44 PM, Suzlon was trading 3.58% higher at Rs 41.95, against the previous close of Rs 40.50 on NSE. The counter hit a new 52-week high of Rs 42 in today’s session.
