Tata Altroz CNG version launched at starting price of Rs 7.55 lakh

23 May 2023 , 08:22 AM

Altroz, a high-end hatchback from Tata Motors, was introduced on Monday at an introductory price of Rs 7.55 lakh (ex-showroom all-India).

The Altroz iCNG will be available in six different variations, the company announced. The prices range from Rs 7.55 lakh to Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom across India).

The updated model features twin-cylinder CNG technology. Under the luggage compartment are installed the twin CNG cylinders. According to a statement from Tata Motors, the pipes and valves are kept safe under the load floor, which reduces the likelihood of any damage.

It boasts a variety of cutting-edge amenities, including an air purifier, wireless charger, and an electric sunroof that can be operated by voice.

Projector headlights, LED DRLs, R16 diamond cut alloy rims, and an 8-speaker touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility are further premium amenities.

Tata Motors anticipates that the Altroz iCNG will strengthen its ‘New Forever’ lineup and maintain the growing momentum in its passenger car industry.

In order to find affordable and environmentally friendly models, car buyers are increasingly choosing alternative fuels, and as a result, CNG is gaining widespread recognition, according to the business.

According to the statement, ‘With the advancement of twin-cylinder CNG technology and advanced features, we are anticipating more personal segment buyers to strongly consider this option.’

One of the company’s representatives stated that ‘our multi-powertrain strategy in the Altroz portfolio today offers petrol, diesel, iturbo, and iCNG, providing an array of options for the customers to choose from.’

It contains a microswitch that allows the vehicle to remain off while receiving fuel. Additionally, a ‘thermal incident protection’ feature, which improves safety, can stop the CNG supply to the engine and release gas into the atmosphere.
