Tata Motors, India’s largest automaker, opened its third registered vehicle scrapping facility (RVSF) in Surat on Saturday, with a capacity to recycle 15,000 automobiles each year.

The third RVSF in Surat, named ‘Re.Wi.Re-Recycle with Respect’ uses ecologically friendly techniques and has the potential to disassemble 15,000 end-of-life vehicles safely and sustainably each year, according to a release.

According to the company, the RVSF was created and run by Tata Motors’ partner Shree Ambica Auto to trash end-of-life passenger and commercial cars of all brands.

Re.Wi.Re. is designed specifically for disassembling end-of-life passenger and commercial cars of all brands, with an emphasis on environmentally sustainable techniques.

According to the company, the fully digitalized facility is outfitted with dedicated cell-type and line-type dismantling stations for the safe dismantling of diverse components such as tyres, batteries, gasoline, oils, liquids, and gases.
