Tata Power to invest Rs 6,000 crore in Odisha

Tata Power’s CEO and Managing Director, Praveer Sinha, announced a Rs 6,000 crore capital investment in Odisha.
Speaking at the Make in Odisha Conclave, Sinha stated that the four Odisha power discoms, in which Tata Power has a controlling share, had committed to a Rs6,000 crore capex expenditure over the next five years.
In addition, the company plans to install 1,000 EV charging stations, 100,000 solar pumps, microgrids, and rooftop and floating solar plants over the next five years.
He applauded the Odisha government’s announcement of its Renewable Energy Policy 2022 at this location’s Make in Odisha Conclave.
According to the CEO of Tata Power, the company has been distributing electricity throughout the state of Odisha and is dedicated to making conducting business easier by providing reliable power.
