Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd. announced that the company now offers its suite of sustainability solutions consisting of TCS Clever Energy, Intelligent Power Plant, and TCS Envirozone on Microsoft’s Azure IoT platform. These suites will help organizations gain insights into energy usage and reduce waste and emissions to accelerate towards their net-zero goals.
The award-winning TCS Clever Energy platform uses IoT, AI, machine learning, and cloud to help organizations understand complex energy performance factors, to help them become more sustainable, and empower leaders to make informed decisions.
“TCS’s sustainability solutions are aiding companies in achieving their sustainability goals and lead with purpose. Companies are achieving all this by using the power of IoT, data, and analytics, and without making any significant new capital investments,” commented Regu Ayyaswamy, Global Head, IoT, and Digital Engineering, TCS. He further added, “We are pleased to offer these solutions on Microsoft Azure, that can provide our customers with actionable insights on energy demand and consumption, carbon emissions, and asset energy performance.”
TCS Clever Energy is helping a leading North American pharmacy retailer to reduce carbon emissions by 26% across thousands of its stores. At a Middle East-based retailer, TCS Clever Energy is currently working across 1,300 stores, reducing their CO2 by 25,000 tons.
The Clever Energy platform helps in reducing energy and utility consumption and decreasing carbon emissions while saving energy costs in commercial and office buildings, warehouses, retail stores, and factories.
The other two sustainability solutions available on Azure are TCS IP2 and TCS Envirozone. IP2 brings together AI, IoT, and digital twin technologies to support critical power plants to enhance their reliability, cut emissions, and further minimize operating costs by 2-3%. TCS Envirozone tracks SDG activities like aiding organizations to adopt carbon-neutral strategies by eliminating risks around supplier-sourcing, operations, and upstream sustainability for a sustainable supply chain.
