Delhivery has announced the debut of its guaranteed same-day delivery (SDD) service in 15 Indian cities, with the goal of assisting companies in gaining consumer loyalty.
The service, according to Delhivery, will improve user experience and reduce return rates, hence increasing brand profitability.
Delhivery will work with brands to identify fast-moving SKUs (stock-keeping units) stored in warehouses near the city’s end consumer. When a customer puts an order on the brand’s website, Delhivery’s algorithm will display the fastest-moving SKUs that can be delivered the same day.
Delhivery, which was launched in 2011 by Sahil Barua, Kapil Bharati, and Suraj Saharan as a food delivery business, recently went public (IPO). The organization offers a comprehensive range of logistical services through its statewide network, which covers over 18,000 pin codes.
Express parcel delivery, PTL (partial truckload) freight, TL freight, cross-border, supply chain, and technological services are all examples.
Since its beginnings, Delhivery has completed over 1.4 billion shipments. It has about 23,600 customers, which include large and small e-commerce players, SMEs, and other businesses and brands. Amazon, Walmart-owned Flipkart, smartphone maker Xiaomi, fashion store Zara, as well as appliance and autos, use its services.
The company lost Rs119.68 crore in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2021-22. This was marginally greater than Delhivery’s loss of Rs118 crore in the same period the previous fiscal.
