Top 10 stocks for today - 16th October 2023

Here are some of the stocks that may see significant price movement today.

  1. Tata Motors: The automaker has agreed to sell a 9.9% stake in its subsidiary Tata Technologies to specific investors for Rs 1,613.7 crore through share-purchase agreements. TPG Rise Climate SF Pte Ltd., a climate-focused private equity fund, is acquiring a 9% investment in Tata Technologies, while Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation is acquiring a 0.9% share in Tata Motors.
  2. Delta Corp: Deltatech Gaming, a subsidiary of the casino gaming corporation, has received notification from the Directorate General of GST Intelligence in Kolkata to pay deficit tax under the CGST Act and the West Bengal GST Act.  
  3. Reliance Industries: Platinum Owl C 2018 RSC Limited (serving as the trustee of Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust) subscribed Rs 4,966.80 crore to Reliance Retail Ventures, which allotted 4,11,81,006 equity shares to ADIA. The Platinum Jasmine Trust’s sole beneficiary and settlor is ADIA.
  4. Adani Enterprises: The Hyderabad Ministry of Corporate Affairs has launched an investigation into the books of accounts and other books and documents of Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) and Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL), both step-down companies of Adani Enterprises.
  5. Mahindra & Mahindra: The utility and commercial vehicle manufacturer reported total September production of 79,410 units, a 21.9% increase over the previous year. Sales climbed by 18.1% year-on-year to 73,185 units during the month, but exports fell by 4.7% to 2,419 units over the same period.
  6. NHPC: On October 4, the company’s 510 MW Teesta-V power facility in Sikkim was impacted by a flash flood in the Teesta Basin. The estimated cost or damage caused by the natural disaster is Rs 788 crore, of which Rs 297 crore is material damage and Rs 491 crore is business loss.
  7. Godrej Properties: Godrej Redevelopers (Mumbai) Private Limited (GRMPL) received an order from the Additional Commissioner, CGST and Central Excise, Navi Mumbai, for a GST demand of Rs 48.31 crore, with interest and a penalty of Rs 48.31 crore, under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act.
  8. Indian Bank: The public sector lender has declared non-performing assets (NPAs) of Rs 24.76 crore, including Rs 16.20 crore from Samsarapu Polaraju, Samsarapu Narasimha Raju, and Maheswari Constructions & Engineering Works, all of which submitted forged documents and diverted funds.
  9. Bajaj Electricals: Power Grid Corporation of India has awarded the company a supply of services contract worth Rs 564.2 crore for and on behalf of its SPV (special purpose vehicle), Ananthpuram Kurnool Transmission.
  10. Tata Steel Long Products: Despite a reduced topline, the Tata Group company’s net loss for the quarter ended September FY24 fell to Rs 135.8 crore from Rs 333.4 crore in the previous year. During the quarter, revenue from operations declined 9.4% year-on-year to Rs 1,734 crore.
