Here are some of the stocks that may see significant price movement today.

Larsen & Toubro: The engineering and construction company reported a 5.4% YoY growth in net profit to ₹3,395.3 Crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2024. Larsen & Toubro reported a net profit of ₹3,223 Crore for the same period in the previous fiscal year, according to a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations increased by 20.6% to ₹61,554.6 Crore from ₹51,024 Crore in the previous year.

Tata Power: Tata Power Company stated that the company logged a 5.8% YoY increase in net profit to ₹926.5 Crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2024, up from ₹875.5 Crore in the previous quarter, according to a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations decreased by 0.3% to ₹15,697.7 Crore, compared to ₹15,738 Crore in the previous fiscal period. EBITDA increased by 21.2% to ₹3,745 Crore in the second quarter.

Biocon: The company recorded an 84.2% year-on-year (YoY) reduction in net profit at ₹27.1 Crore for the second quarter ending September 30, 2024. In the previous fiscal quarter, Biocon reported a net profit of ₹172 Crore, according to a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations increased by 3.7% to ₹3,590.4 Crore from ₹3,462 Crore in the second quarter of FY24.

Wipro: Wipro Ltd, an IT services business, established a strategic partnership with Microsoft and SAP on Wednesday (October 30) to expedite RISE with SAP migrations to the Microsoft cloud at nearly zero cost to clients. This cooperation enables clients to use SAP’s enterprise resource planning capabilities on Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, while Wipro provides best practices, strategic direction, and a transition roadmap.

Cipla: Cipla Ltd. shares rose more than 10% in early trade on Thursday after the USFDA classified its Goa facility as “Voluntary Action Indicated” (VAI). The authority previously re-inspected the Goa plant between June 10 and June 21, 2024, after which six observations were issued.
