Ugar Sugar Works Ltd has informed that a fire incident took place in its factory situated al Ugar Khurd, Belgaum on Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 P.M.
“However, the fire was brought under control within two to three hours of the incident. No injuries have been taken place due to fire”, said company.
It further added, ‘”here is no major loss due to fire. The crushing will start within 24 hours after thorough inspection. We have already intimated the concerned departments and other statutory authorities about the fire accident.”
At around 10:17 AM, Ugar Sugar Works was trading at Rs67.60 apiece down by Rs0.2 or 0.29% from its previous closing of Rs67.80 apiece on the BSE.
