Utilties shares edge lower

Among the components of the S&P BSE Utilities index, Reliance Power Ltd (down 4.25%), Rattanindia Power Ltd (down 4.1%),Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd (down 3.96%),Adani Transmission Ltd (down 3.47%),NLC India Ltd (down 3.33%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Adani Power Ltd (down 3.13%), Adani Green Energy Ltd (down 2.67%), NTPC Ltd (down 2.36%), Torrent Power Ltd (down 2.33%), and Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (down 2.33%). On the other hand, Va Tech Wabag Ltd (up 3.25%), CESC Ltd (up 0.5%), and Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (up 0.49%) moved up.At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 288.43 or 0.52% at 56106.54.The Nifty 50 index was up 48.05 points or 0.29% at 16676.05.The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 164.72 points or 0.62% at 26530.06.The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 69.78 points or 0.85% at 8134.02.On BSE,1555 shares were trading in green, 1689 were trading in red and 133 were unchanged.Powered by Capital Market – Live News
