Venkatesh Viswanathan steps up as new group CFO of ICRA

ICRA Limited informed that the Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Venkatesh Viswanathan as a Group Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the company, effective from August 30, 2022. He is also designated as the Chief Investor Relations Officer of the company.

The company further stated that Amit Kumar Gupta, the Chief Financial Officer of the Company, appointed for an interim period, has stepped down as Chief Financial Officer. Although, Gupta will continue to hold his current key managerial position of General Counsel of the company.

Venkatesh brings to the company over 20 years of expertise in finance, accounting, auditing, taxation, financial risks and controls, treasury, and internal auditing.

Prior to his association with ICRA, he was the CFO for the Rating business and Senior Director — Group Finance at CRISIL Limited. Prior to this, he worked for IT Nation (India) Pvt Ltd and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.

He has previously worked to facilitate effective regulatory transitions, mergers, acquisitions, hive-offs, financial due diligence, tax structuring, and cost management.

At around 9.34 AM, ICRA was trading at Rs3,750 up by 1.16% from its previous closing of Rs3,706.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs3,744.
