Verlinvest Asia Pte Ltd, an investment company, divested a 12.56 % stake in Sula Vineyards, a wine producer, for Rs 513 crore through an open market transaction. The stake sale led to a 3.62 % drop in Sula Vineyards’ shares, closing at Rs 490.30 apiece on the NSE (National Stock Exchange).
Verlinvest Asia Pte offloaded 1.06 crore shares, representing a 12.56 % stake in Sula Vineyards, according to NSE bulk deal data. The shares were sold at a price of Rs 484.13 each, resulting in a total transaction value of Rs 513.17 crore.
Verlinvest Asia Pte Ltd’s stakeholding decreased from 18.64 % to 6.08 % after the transaction, as per exchange shareholding data. HDFC Mutual Fund, Ghisallo Master Fund LP, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte, and Societe Generale collectively acquired 59.58 lakh shares of Sula Vineyards at Rs 484 per share. The deal’s cumulative value for these acquisitions amounted to Rs 288.39 crore.
