Volkswagen Passenger Cars India announced the debut of new trims for the Virtus mid-size sedan and Taigun sport utility vehicle. The GT Plus edition of the Virtus, which costs Rs 16.89 lakh (ex-showroom), has been made available by the firm with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The manufacturer also announced the release of two new Taigun models, the GT DSG and GT Plus, with starting prices of Rs 16.79 lakh and Rs 17.77 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom).
‘The GT badge was debuted on the Performance Line (1.5l TSI EVO engine) variations of Taigun and Virtus with its strong heritage of fun-to-drive. By offering customers fresh versions, we are today going a step further and democratizing the GT badge, according to a statement from Ashish Gupta, brand director for Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.
Deep Black Pearl is the exterior body colour offered for the Volkswagen GT Edge Limited Collection. Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte finishes are offered for the exterior body colours of the Taigun GT Plus DSG and GT manual.
According to the business, the new Taigun and Virtus models would be offered at 161 sales touchpoints located in 121 Indian cities.
