On Tuesday, WhatsApp and Salesforce announced an “expanded partnership” to help the messaging app’s enterprise users get started.
The new link will help businesses create experiences to communicate with customers on WhatsApp while being able to manage communication directly from the Salesforce platform, according to a blog post by Meta’s vice president of business messaging, Matthew Idema.
Idema said, “We continue to invest in methods to make it quick and easy for businesses to get up and running on WhatsApp because we want more people to benefit from faster, richer conversations.
Through a new agreement that will allow these companies to easily manage these new experiences across Salesforce Customer 360 applications, he continued, “Today we’re taking a huge step in making our WhatsApp Cloud API’s strong features easily available to all Salesforce customers globally.”
More than one billion people interact with a business account per week across Meta’s messaging platforms, according to the blog post, and this rate is only rising.
The WhatsApp Business Platform was made available to all businesses worldwide earlier this year by WhatsApp to assist them in getting started on WhatsApp. According to the business, this could be completed “in a couple of minutes.”
Idema claimed that by collaborating with Salesforce, the biggest CRM platform in the world, a lot more companies will be able to utilize WhatsApp to communicate with their clients “seamlessly.”
He added that the organization would keep creating solutions to assist more companies in assisting clients, showcasing their products, and having product discussions.
