Wipro appoints Wagner Jesus as country head for Brazil

The IT major announced the appointment of Wagner Jesus as country head and managing director for operations in Brazil. During his tenure in Wipro, Wagner has played a pivotal role in both local and global accounts and has successfully established relationships within the region. He has acted as a catalyst for significant change within the company and is an influential leader spearheading the companys most recent acquisitions while driving growth in Brazil. Brazil is one of the most dynamic markets in Latin America. Under Wagners leadership, Wipro will continue to strengthen relationships with local teams, launch hyperscaler-centric innovation centers, and achieve best-in-class delivery to our clients, said Srini Pallia, CEO, Americas 1, Wipro. Wagners commitment and authority over the last three years has been exemplary; he was the logical choice in maintaining the excellent momentum and growth Wipro has experienced in Brazil. Wagner holds a management certification from Harvard Business School, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) by FIAP, Brazil and a bachelors degree in Computer Science from Vale do Paraiba University, also in Brazil. Wipro is a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company. The IT majors consolidated net profit dropped 16.96% to Rs 2,563.6 crore on 3.21% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 21,528.6 crore in Q1 FY23 over Q4 FY22.
