As per Deputy MD (IT) Vidya Krishnan, State Bank of India (SBI) will shortly introduce its banking mobile app ‘Yono Global’ in Singapore and the US, providing digitalized remittance and other services to its customers. The three-day Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) closes on November 17. ‘We are continuing to invest in Yono Global to offer the best services available as we want to give superior experience to our customers,’ Krishnan told PTI.
Krishnan spoke with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the local central bank and regulator, as well as digital platform enablers based in Singapore.
“With so many Indians living in the city-state, we are always working on the remittance story between India and Singapore.’
Yono Global services are currently provided by SBI in nine countries, with the UK operations commencing in September 2019. The entire balance sheet size of SBI’s overseas activities is USD 78 billion.
