, the world’s largest live online educator have announced a partnership that enables online certified courses in photography. The agreement will see live education integrated into the Flipkart customer journey and allow Indian customers to avail of a range of online live courses focused on practical skills. The partnership will initially focus on Flipkart customers having access to a four-week photography course delivered by Shaw Academy.
The alliance was announced as an Irish government delegation visited the Shaw Academy office in Bangalore during a five day Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to India. Pat Breen T.D. Ireland’s Minister of State for Employment and Small Business
was hosted by Shaw Academy who employ over 100 people in Bangalore its largest office outside of its international HQ in Dublin. Shaw Academy currently teach 400,000 new students every month and the agreement with Flipkart builds on both company’s ethos of reducing cost and providing high quality solutions to customers.
Speaking in India while on the trade mission Minister Breen said, “At the heart of Ireland’s Action Plan for Jobs is building a new, sustainable, jobs-rich economy based on exports and innovation. Shaw Academy is a shining example of how Irish companies can succeed in the Indian market by investing in local talent and understanding the customer. This agreement with Flipkart, the largest online marketplace in India will deliver education but more importantly adds value to the Flipkart customer proposition.”
