National Aluminium Company Ltd. results for Q3FY19 missed estimates due to lower alumina realisations and higher raw material costs. Revenues for Q3FY19 rose by 13.8% yoy to Rs2,719cr (expectation Rs2,751cr). EBITDA stood at Rs513cr (expectation Rs571cr), up by 49.3% yoy. EBIDTA margin rose by 448bps yoy to 18.9%. Adjusted Net Profit stood at Rs302cr for Q3FY19 (expectation Rs341cr), up 55.5% yoy.
Segmental revenue for the quarter stood at Rs1,690cr for the aluminium segment (up 1.4% yoy) and Rs1,307cr for the chemicals segment (up 33.2% yoy).
Segmental EBIT for the quarter stood at Rs99cr for the aluminium segment (down 23.2% yoy) and a profit of Rs343cr for the chemicals segment (up 102.7% yoy).
Gross margin fell by 134bps yoy as raw material costs rose 17.3% yoy.
National Aluminium Company Ltd ended at Rs. 59.25, up by 0.4 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 58.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 58.90 and touched a high and low of Rs. 59.75 and Rs. 58.65 respectively. A total of 61,00,756 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock traded above its 200 DMA.
