The day long carnival, specially designed for children was a complete mix of outdoor fun, entertainment and some real escapade for children.
Kunskapsskolan Gurgaon, a pioneer in the field of personalised learning organized the ‘K-Karnival’, an adventure fiesta, near Leisure Valley, Sector-29, Gurgaon to provide children opportunity to explore their capabilities, hidden interests, choose goals to be achieved and work enthusiastically towards achieving them. The day long carnival, specially designed for children was a complete mix of outdoor fun, entertainment and some real escapade for children. There were hundreds of families along with their children rejoicing at the carnival.
Aligning to the schools values of acknowledging that each child is different and respecting these differences, an array of fun-filled activities like adventure sports, pottery making, clay modelling, storytelling, puppetry etc. were offered. Children could participate in the activity of their choice and try to stretch their boundaries and achieve more than they thought possible. This Karnival reiterated the school’s promise to provide skill focused education and socially committed footprints in India. Kunskapsskolan as a CSR initiative also invited more than 50 children from three NGOs namely Eco Lib Foundation, Adaa Welfare Society and Vidya Comfort School to participate in the carnival.
Speaking on the occasion, Mark Parkinson, Executive Director & Head of Schools, Kunskapsskolan Gurgaon said, “At Kunskapsskolan we want to inculcate a culture where students can explore their own personality and interests. This carnival was a recreational platform for children where they had a chance to identify and build on their individual personalities. This celebration was a landmark festivity, for welcoming our first batch in just over a month. We hope that many of our today’s visitors will go back with joyful memories that they would cherish for a lifetime”.
The fun in the sun offered something for every taste. The highlight for many was the chance to soar high above the Gurgaon skyline in a hot air balloon. For others it was the chance to join in with professional artists from Delhi-based Empowerment to produce a ten-metre mural art work on the theme, “Learning for All”. Some were thrilled at the chance to zip around on the back of a quad bike, whilst others took in a fascinating session of storytelling or puppet making. There was an array of activities completely free of cost for children including Adventure Sports like Zorbing, Flying Fox, Commando Crawl, Burma Bridge, Pressure Rocket.etc.
In addition to these enthralling activities, the carnival provided vital guidance on all aspects of child health and wellness, at the ‘Nutri Zone’ where Fortis memorial Research Institute had joined in with the K-Karnival as Healthcare partner. Some of the top doctors from Fortis were on hand to share wisdom, ideas and best practice tips to keep children in the best of health. “Especially with regard to children we believe that preventive healthcare approaches are vitally important. There’s nothing better than seeing these energetic and enthusiastic children out enjoying themselves on such a beautiful day,” said Dr Neeta Kejriwal, representative of Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon. “Today’s urban children are not always getting out in the fresh air enough. Lack of exercise and exposure to sunlight can bring long term health challenges. Fit, healthy children do better all-around”, she added.
Parents too were thrilled at the chance to join in with their children, to reignite their own inner child. “All week we’re so busy and time with our children is so precious. To come down and do all these activities together was a wonderful chance. We’ve had so much fun together.” said a beaming, happy father as his eager son dragged him away to see how he could scale the climbing wall.

We believe the interest rates are likely to have bottomed due to inflationary pressure, large government borrowings and normalizing credit growth. Hence rate sensitive sectors should be avoided in our view.
