Primary market mobilise issues worth Rs. 9bn in May

There were five QIP issues worth Rs. 28.33 billion in the market in May 2013

During May 2013, Rs. 9.28 billion were mobilised in the primary market by way of three issues as compared to Rs. 1.34 billion mobilised through one issue in April 2013, showing an increase of around six times over the previous month, according to SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) data.

In May 2013, there were three equity issues. The cumulative amount mobilised for the financial year 2013-14, so far, stood at Rs. 10.62 billion through four issue as against Rs. 4.46 billion raised through five issues during the corresponding period of 2012-13.

During May 2013, there were five QIP issues worth Rs. 28.33 billion in the market as compared to four QIP issues worth Rs. 3.87 billion in April 2013. The cumulative amount mobilised through QIP route during 2013-14 stood at Rs. 32.19 billion through nine issues.
