M&M sold most of BOLERO Power Plus, XUV300, Scorpio in diesel during July; stock ends higher

The passenger cars and commercial vehicles manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Monday emerged among top-performing stocks after the automaker released its category-wise July sales and production figures. M&M's overall automotive sales (Domestic+Exports) stood at 25,678 vehicles in July 2020, compared to 40,142 vehicles during July 2019.

According to the latest regulatory filing, M&M in July 2020, saw most sales in BOLERO Power Plus, XUV300 and Scorpio to the tune of 3238 units, 1659 units and 3135 units respectively. These three were in diesel fuel type. A year ago same month, M&M had sold 3,564 of BOLERO Power Plus, 3,331 of XUV300 and 2,864 of Scorpio in the engine mentioned.

In July 2020, productions were also in these three models with 3,079 units of BOLERO Power Plus, 1,563 units of XUV300  and 3,034 units of Scorpio.

Other sales figure stood at - 1,122 units in Bolera having diesel fuel type, 860 units of XUV300 in petrol type, 813 units of XUV500 in diesel type and 120 units of Supro also in diesel.

M&M, in the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans), sold 11,025 vehicles in July 2020, compared to 16,831 vehicles in July 2019.

After clocking an intraday high of Rs640.55 per piece, M&M stock on Sensex settled at Rs629.15 per piece up 4.75%.
