Hi-Tech Pipes begins production with capacity of 80,000 MTPA at the manufacturing facility of ERW steel pipes in Khopoli, Maharashtra

With the commercialisation of this new facility, the total installed capacity of the Company has increased to 580,000 MTPA, Hi-Tech said.

Hi-Tech Pipes has commenced commercial production at its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of ERW steel pipes in Khopoli, Maharashtra, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, that is, HTL Ispat Private Limited.

With the commercialisation of this new facility, the total installed capacity of the Company has increased to 580,000 MTPA, Hi-Tech said.

Ajay Kumar Bansal, Managing Director, Hi-Tech Pipes Limited, said: “At Hi-Tech Pipes, we have always prided ourselves of setting tough targets and working hard to achieve them. The new plant with most advanced technology at Khopoli, Maharashtra was commissioned, constructed, and tested during operationally challenging times. The commissioning of this facility will not only help us establish a strong footprint in the western regions of India but also help us to produce products with higher margins while aiding our overall brand visibility. With this plant, we continue to remain steadfast on our expansion path and are working towards achieving our vision of enhancing the overall installed capacity to 1 million MTPA.”

Some of the key details of the new facility are as under:
  • Installed Capacity: 80,000 MTPA
  • Product Range: Designed to cater to the entire product range of MS Pipes, CR Tubes and PreGalvanized Tubes
  • Application: Wider range including structures, bridges railing, poles/posts, electric conduit, cooling towers, Automobile, Telecom towers/ Poles, Roofing, Fabrication etc.
  • Markets Catered: Western Region – primarily Maharashtra and Goa

At around 3.28 pm, Hi-Tech was trading at Rs262.75 per piece down by 0.62% on Nifty 50.
