Centre to divest 20% stake in National Fertilizers via offer for sale; Stock gains 2%

The government plans to divest 20% paid-up equity capital in the company through the "Offer for sale by promoters through the Stock Exchanges.

National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) has announced that the government plans to divest 20% paid-up equity capital in the company through the "Offer for sale by promoters through the Stock Exchanges" method in the domestic market.

In its regulatory filing, NFL said, "Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), Ministry of Finance, Government of India has intimated regarding the issue of RFP for engagement of Legal Advisors, Merchant Bankers and Selling Brokers for the Disinvestment of 20% paid-up equity capital in National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) out of Government of India's shareholding through the "Offer for Sale by promoters through the Stock Exchanges" method in the domestic market.

At around 1.36 pm, NFL was trading at Rs55.50 per piece higher by 1.6% on Sensex.
