Asian markets close in red

Chinese stocks also ended in the red while Hong Kong market is closed on Monday for a holiday.

Asian stock markets closed in the red on Monday trade. The indecisions on stimulus in the US market saw quiet trade globally. The resurgence in the rise of Covid cases in US and Europe also played a role in muted trade.

Chinese stocks also ended in the red while Hong Kong market is closed on Monday for a holiday. Shanghai’s Composite index closed 0.8% lower, and Set Composite traded 0.3% lower.

Japan’s benchmark Nikkei index ended its trading session down 22 points, but unchanged percentage-wise. South Korea’s KOSPI index dropped 0.7%.

Taiwan’s TSEC index was up 10 points, but was unchanged percentage-wise.  

The domestic markets are also bearish with BSE Sensex is trading at 40,085.15 down 600.35 points or 1.48% and Nifty50 at 11,743.30 down 187.05 points. or 1.57%
