CARE slumps on dismal Q1 performance

The stock shed as much as 4.5 percent to Rs. 1,406 on the BSE.

Credit Analysis and Research (CARE) has plunged as much as 4.5 percent to a low of Rs. 1,406 on the back of dismal Q1 performance.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE, CARE's Q1 net has plunged over 34 percent to Rs. 17.49 crore as against Rs. 26.58 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total income was also down over 10.5 percent to Rs. 51.37 crore from Rs. 57.51 crore.

The stock has recouped some of the losses and is now down 2.9 percent at Rs. 1,429. The counter has seen trades of around 2,470-odd shares as against the two-week daily average volume of around 2,080-odd shares on the BSE.

Meanwhile, the Sensex is down 69 points to 28,394.
