US President, Donald Trump is about to sign an executive order aimed at tuning the H-1B work visa programme, and here are a few challenges that it might face.

1. Neutral standpoint 

Donald Trump seems to be searching for a neutral standpoint for the H-1B work visa programme. In a meeting conducted a month ago, between Donald Trump and Tech companies, the CEOs pointed towards a possibility of slight changes in visa rules.

2. Modi effect

America's huge business interests in India and Donald Trump's friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi may prevent Trump from putting strong restrictions on work visas. Which means there is some scope for relaxation in the proposed restrictions.

3. Industry pressure

Several heads of Indian IT companies are in talks to lobby against the restrictions on H-1B work visa programme. Inernational business interests can upset Donald Trump's plan of limiting the visa regime.
