IFB Agro Industries suspends production at IMIL Unit, reduces distillery unit with 30% manpower

IFB Agro Industries Limited has suspended production at the IMIL unit and the distillery unit has been reduced with 30% manpower from May 17, 2021.

Moreover, the office operations had also been suspended and the operation of other units are also affected due to the lockdown restrictions imposed in West Bengal owing to a steady surge in the number of Covid cases in the State consequent to the onslaught of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The company till date had been following all the necessary directives issued by the Regulatory authorities in order to combat with the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic which interalia includes sanitization and hygiene, temperature checks, maximizing video-conferencing and minimizing contact, closing employee travel and providing health and distancing advisories to employees,” company said in a regulatory filing on Monday.

It further said, the duration of closure of production and office operations will remain May 30, 2021 and will depend upon State Government policy.

IFB Agro Industries Ltd trade on Tuesday ended at Rs458.20 per piece up by Rs4.6 or 1.01% from its previous closing of Rs453.60 per piece on the BSE.
