KEC International bags new orders worth Rs1,025cr; stock up ~1%

KEC International Ltd., a global infrastructure EPC major, an RPG Group Company, has secured new orders of Rs1,025cr across its various businesses.

The business has secured orders of Rs750cr for Transmission & Distribution projects in India which includes 765 kV GIS Substation order from a Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) entity under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route in Western India. 400 kV Transmission Line and 400 kV GIS Substation orders from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited (TANTRANSCO) in Southern India and 400 kV Transmission Line order from a private player in Eastern India, the company said.

Further, its Railways business unit secured orders of Rs125cr in India and also cables business has secured orders of Rs150cr for various types of cables/ cabling projects, the company added.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd. commented, "We are pleased with the new order wins, especially in our core T&D business. Our order book in India continues to grow, despite the general headwinds in the country. These orders along with the orders announced earlier during the year reaffirms our confidence in achieving the targeted growth."

K E C International Ltd is currently trading at Rs272.50, up by Rs2.8 or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs269.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs271.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs273 and Rs268.75 respectively.
