Max Bupa appoints Krishnan Ramachandran as MD & CEO

Prior to Apollo Munich, Krishnan served in various capacities as Practice Head Healthcare and Experience Manager at Deloitte Consulting, across India and New York, USA.

Max Bupa Health Insurance announced the appointment of Krishnan Ramachandran as its Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Krishnan will be responsible for driving the company’s next phase of growth with a view to realize Max Bupa’s vision of becoming the most trusted health insurance company in India.

An industry veteran, Krishnan brings with him over 23 years of extensive experience across Health insurance, Healthcare & Life Sciences industry. Krishnan is known for his focus on core institution building with varied experience in transforming health insurance operations, driving a high growth distribution strategy, and leveraging technology for enabling business growth. He has played a key role in shaping the evolution of the health insurance industry in India, through leadership roles in the CII Policy & Standards Committee, on Health Insurance. Krishnan last served as the CEO of Apollo Munich Health Insurance.

Krishnan holds an MBA degree from IIM Kolkata, and a BTech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Madras.
