Union Bank of India appoints A K Vinod as Chief Compliance Officer; Stock ends higher

Vinod has been the Chief General Manager of the Bank since April 1, 2020. He was handling the MSME & Small Corporate vertical of the Bank, the company said.

Union Bank of India informed the exchanges Tuesday that A. K. Vinod, Chief General Manager has been nominated as the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of the Bank w.e.f. June 1, 2021, in place of K. L. Raju, General Manager (CCO).

Vinod has been the Chief General Manager of the Bank since April 1, 2020. He was handling the MSME & Small Corporate vertical of the Bank, company said.

Prior to this, he was the General Manager of Risk Management Department of erstwhile Corporation Bank. He was also the Head of Mangaluru and Bengaluru (North) Zones of erstwhile Corporation Bank.

Company further said, Vinod, 50 years, has done B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from Delhi University and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IMT, Ghaziabad. He has also completed Leadership Development Programme for Senior Management of Public Sector Banks by BBB at IIM Bangalore and other training programs conducted by various reputed institutions viz. CAFRAL, IDRBT, ISB, etc.

Union Bank of India stock ended at Rs35.25 up by Rs0.9 or 2.62% from its previous closing of Rs34.35 on the BSE.
