Atul Ltd reported 63.53% increase in total revenues for the Jun-21 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs1,080.20cr. On a sequential basis, revenues were down -3.20% compared to Rs1,115.93cr revenues in Mar-21 quarter.

Among the two key verticals of Atul, the life sciences chemicals business saw revenues growing yoy by 30.3% at Rs353cr. The performance chemicals business saw a yoy growth of 79.1% at Rs754cr. On sequential basis, revenues from performance chemicals were lower while life sciences chemicals were higher.

Net profit for the Jun-21 quarter was up 40.89% at Rs165.94cr on a yoy basis, but on a sequential basis, the PAT was lower by -5.2% due to COVID 2.0 impact. On a yoy basis, the EBITDA of the life science chemicals business was marginally lower whereas the growth in EBITDA came mainly from the performance chemicals space.

Net margins at 15.36% for the Jun-21 quarter were lower than the net margins of 17.83% recorded in Jun-20 quarter but at par with sequential quarter. Raw material costs more than doubled yoy putting pressure.
