Siemens Ltd Q4 marginally lower at Rs321.6cr due to EBIT pressure in smart infrastructure business

Siemens Ltd reported 21.13% higher total revenues for the Sep-21 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs4,296. The revenues were up by 46.41% on sequential basis compared to Rs2,934cr in Jun-21 quarter.

Full year sales ended Sep-21 were up 37.12% at Rs13,639cr. In terms of verticals, the energy vertical was flat yoy while the smart infrastructure vertical saw revenues grow 65.8% at Rs1,527cr.

While the mobility business revenues were flat, Siemens showed growth of 23.8% at Rs.784cr in digital industries. DPS was Rs.8 per share.

On a yoy basis, the net profits were marginally lower at Rs321.6cr in the Sep-21 quarter. The EBIT pressure in the quarter came from the smart infrastructure business and the mobility business.

Siemens also witnessed as sharp spike in material and inventory costs. On a sequential basis, the profits were higher by 131.53% over Jun-21 quarter.

Net margins at 7.49% in the Sep-21 quarter compares with 9.31% NPM in the Sep-20 quarter and 4.73% in the sequential Jun-21 quarter. The company net cash from operations nearly double to Rs.1,422cr on the back of a sharp fall in trade payables for the year ended Sep-21.
