What was the need to launch Shortjobs at the time of Pandemic?
Because of the Corona pandemic, approximately 6.5 million of working professionals lost their jobs; that is when we thought of coming up with this platform- Shortjobs ; as in the course of the initial months of the Pandemic , we realised the constant need for contractual workforce i.e., freelancers, consultants and subject experts who are increasingly seeking flexible method of employment. During the pandemic period there was a huge demand of gig workers, which was a new concept to the Indian culture and we saw that gap and wanted to fill in to help people. We have collaborated with various companies and tried to understand the requirements that the companies are seeking from the candidates. Shortjobs aims at building a personal relation with the employer and employee. Shortjobs targets into providing the candidate a fulfilling and enriching job experience with opportunities from internships to full time permanent jobs.
How is Shortjobs different from other key players in terms of recruitment?
After the Covid 19 Pandemic , gradually people have adopted to the new normal. According to our research we have observed that the job market has started picking up in few sectors, such as the automotive, Freelancers, I.T.Sector and Hospitality sector where people can work as a temporary workforce. Shortjobs can be a useful platform for people looking for extra income and freelancing opportunities in such testing times. We are no competition to the lager recruitment firms as they are highly established in the market, but yes, we would get there soon. And to get there we are coming up with a various service that can be provided to the candidates and the employers. In the next 2 years, the Indian job market will see a rise in the number of Gig workers- now here Shortjobs primarily focuses on providing the Candidate his choice of job opportunity and a hassle-free recruitment process both for the Employer as well as the Employee. We feel the basic necessity for the Candidate to build a connection with the Employer is the need for a perfect resume. To fulfil this requirement we have a separate team for helping the candidate to make the perfect resume at a very reasonable price and help them get their dream job. We also work on a subscription model which is extremely pocket friendly and we provide personalised services too. It is a long-term association with the company and it works out to be more cost-effective to the employers along with building a strong relationship between the companies and good work culture.

When we talk about the revenue model, we wanted to keep the access very transparent and simple for the employers and the candidates, therefore we have build a Subscription based model for the users in our platform. Our subscription starts from monthly to yearly package. With the growing demands we have start with personalised requirements of companies at affordable and economical rates of hiring.

How does it aim to democratize the Indian Job market using a new-age technology-gig economy?
The demand for staffing is becoming the hottest trend in the job market, with the growing segment of the workforce choosing contractual work over full time employment. I see gig workers as the future of Indian job economy. Next 2 years will be great for the job economy as many companies have already started to hire people on project basis (gig workers) in construction sector, i.e, chartered accountancy firms and sales and marketing based on commission.
What measures Shortjobs have in the pipeline to overcome the Job crunch in such unprecedented times?
