La Opala RG's Q1FY19 standalone net profit rises 15% yoy to Rs14cr : In-line with Estimates

The company’s standalone revenue stood at Rs55cr, up 16% yoy but down 19% qoq.

Indian opal-ware major, La Opala RG Limited (LORL) reported better than expected numbers at EBITDA levels, while it met consensus estimate at revenue and PAT levels. Standalone revenue stood at Rs55cr, up 16% yoy (down 19% qoq), in-line with estimates. EBITDA was 35% yoy higher (up 4% qoq) at Rs25cr, while EBITDA margin expanded 625bps yoy (992bps qoq) to 44.5%. EBITDA and EBITDA margin beat consensus estimate of Rs23cr and 40.3% respectively. Standalone PAT was 15% yoy higher (2% qoq higher) at Rs14cr, in-line with consensus estimate.

Other Highlights

  • Tax rate in Q1FY19 was 34.4% vs. 32.3% in Q1FY18 and 39.6% in Q4FY18.

La Opala RG Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 249.35, down by 7.55 points or 2.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 256.90 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 255.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 265.25 and Rs. 229 respectively. So far 64,425 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock is currently trading below its 200 DMA.
