The event commenced with the students of Deepalaya reciting the Saraswati Vandana. There was a magic show organized for the children followed by the painting competition. Themed “Wild Life & Environment”, the competition, saw participation from over 100 children. All the children were awarded with gifts and the winners were recognized with special gifts. This year the Nanhe Chitrakar Competition is being held at 40 cities across India with more than 4000 children participating and showcasing their talent.
Commenting on the occasion Achinta Banerjie, Member- Executive Committee, Amway Opportunity Foundation, said “Children are a pool of talent and they need a platform to showcase their talent and abilities. Visuals are the best way of communications and this year we have chosen “Wild Life & Environment” as the theme to sensitize people on the environmental concerns. We believe this initiative will surely instill a sense of responsibility in tender minds of our children. “

Amway Opportunity Foundation and Deepalaya have been associated together since 2009. AOF has sponsored 35 students’ annual education and health checkup for over 500 students in Delhi so far.
There was also a free eye check camp organized for the children of Deepalaya School by Dr. Shroff Charitable Eye Hospital. The camp witnessed experienced doctors providing the best of checkup sessions and advice, benefitting about 100 children.
