Bharti Airtel has discontinued the Rs99 minimum recharge plan in seven more circles, months after it was discontinued in Odisha and Haryana.
Previously, Airtel offered a Rs99 minimum recharge plan with 200MB data and calls at Rs2.5 paise per second for 28 days. Airtel has abandoned the plan since November of last year.
The company is now offering an entry-level plan for Rs155. This plan has a 28-day validity period and includes 1 GB of internet data and 300 SMS.
Airtel customers who recharged with the Rs99-pack would have to pay 57% more on a monthly basis. However, for the company, this would result in an increase in average revenue per user (ARPU).
Bharti Airtel first announced the end of the Rs99-pack in November 2022.
It increased the entry-level tariff plans from Rs99 to Rs155 in Karnataka, Bihar, North East, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and UP West.
