Through his Twitter account, Agrawal said, "The EV revolution is coming! From Karnataka in 2017 to Gujarat just this week, 21 states and UTs are now incentivising EVs to make them affordable."
He added, "We're committed to accelerating this with #OlaFuturefactory and our scooter that's coming soon! #FutureIsElectric @OlaElectric."
Gujarat government announced the Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021 under which subsidy up to Rs 20,000 is provided in the two-wheeler category of EV, while Rs 50,000 for three-wheelers, and about Rs 1.5 lakh for cars.
Further, the State government exempted EV registered in Gujarat RTOs from paying the registration fee.
