New brands to improve volumes and margins: Nisha Purushothaman, Empee Distilleries

Despite of the power disruptions caused by the Chennai floods throughout the city, Empee Distilleries had no major impact in production.

Nisha Purushothaman, Vice Chairman, Empee Distilleries, told CNBC TV 18 that Q2 revenues experienced a fall due to price increase in Tamil Nadu, but the five new brands in the premium segment have done exceedingly well and hence the revenue growth rate will remain same for Q4, as well as for some quarters ahead.

The scrip opened at Rs. 108.2 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 114.75 and Rs. 97.35 respectively. So far 1539276(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 207.2 crore.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 115.85 on 08-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 22.05 on 27-Mar-2015. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 115.85 and Rs. 72.8 respectively.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 62 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.07 % and 37.93 % respectively.
The stock is currently trading below its 50 DMA.
