Write Step, a social initiative, conceptualized by Arshad Balwa awarded Scholarships to three RAGC (Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers) students, to pursue educational and training programs.
RAGC is a vocational education institute, which offers various education courses & programs, including ITI courses, and guarantees job placements to its students. The students at RAGC belong to the underprivileged class, which makes it difficult for them to fund higher education courses, even though they are keen on pursuing further education.
Write Step has, continuously undertaken several initiatives, to help the deserving underprivileged students, to pursue their dreams of higher education.
In line with its objective of rewarding the needy and deserving students, Write Step identified the 3 Top performers of RAGC for awarding scholarships to pursue higher studies:
Mohammad Ansari will pursue Automobile Service Technician Program at ITI Andheri / Khar, to enable him to excel in the field of Automotive Dealership.
Yatin Mahajan and Ajaj Israr Ansari will be pursuing a course in Building Services & Electrical Program that will help them in the field of Construction and Maintenance in the Hospitality Industry.
Write Step decided to award scholarships to each one of them.
Gaurav Chopra, a popular TV and theatre actor, who has been a part of various social causes in the past and has given his valuable time to activities conducted by different NGOs, was invited to present the scholarships to the three students. He was more than willing and elated to be a part of Write Step’s initiative.
Thrilled to see the excitement of these students, he appreciated the work that Write Step is doing in transforming their lives. He expressed his good wishes for the students to excel in their career.
Arshad Balwa said, “By giving the scholarships to these students, Write Step wants to give them an opportunity to not only forge ahead in their career, but also be successful individuals. These students are ambitious to progress in their lives and Write Step feels privileged to partner with them in achieving their goals.”
He also added, “In order to motivate students, Write Step will also announce separate scholarships for two deserving Polytechnic students by the end of July 2013”.
Since its inception, Write Step is undertaking a donation drive & raising. Write Step has been constantly taking tremendous efforts in imparting soft skills and entrepreneurial qualities to the underprivileged youth of the community.
