Ansal University currently offers 42 undergraduate and post-graduate programs spread across 8 schools offering various disciplines ranging from Engineering and Technology, Management Studies, International Studies, Computer Applications, Applied Sciences as well as Humanities and Languages.
Ansal University, Gurgaon, a Private University dedicated to providing an advanced quality of education to students has made rapid strides since its inception a year ago. The University which has recently adopted the Trans-disciplinary Learning (TDL) approach to learning across all its academic programs is targeting a student number of 1000 in this admission season, nearly 25% higher than last year’s figure of 850.
Courses in Petroleum Engineering, Paramedical and Forensic Sciences, Travel and Tourism, Legal Studies, Fashion and Jewellery Designing are also planned in the near future. Additionally, a B.Com Hons. degree course has also been introduced from this academic year. A special thrust will be on promoting research based academic approach through various MPhil and PhD programs.

It has seen nearly 40 MPhil admissions in the last year since the introduction of PhD program from September 2012.
Several news courses like M.Arch (Master in Architecture) with specialization in Urban Planning, B.Sc Hons in Industrial Chemistry, Statistics, Engineering and Physics, a six month CFPCM Certification (Certified Financial PlannerCM) course, a four year B. Plan (Bachelor in Planning) and a four year B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) course with specialization in painting and fine arts have been introduced in the last year. The Ansal Institute of Technology was also felicitated with the National Employability Award 2013 for engineering colleges thus, recognising the University’s efforts towards enhancing the employability of its students.
According to Dr. CS Nagpal, Vice Chancellor, Ansal University, Gurgaon, “It will be our endeavor to make the futuristic trans-disciplinary learning approach all pervasive across our academic programs in order to ensure that students are better prepared for real life situations by attaining knowledge through a multi-dimensional perspective. We also want to strictly control our student intake numbers so that the focus on providing a quality teacher-student ratio is not diluted. We also want to encourage students to take up advanced research programs by putting special thrust on MPhil and PhD programs in the days to come.”
Emphasizing the need of having a Trans-disciplinary approach to education, the University has also introduced a mandatory Trans-disciplinary Project (4 credit units) in the first semester across programs. The University has also entered into tie-ups for knowledge sharing, faculty and student exchanges with several international universities like the University of Arts (London), Clemson University and others in the last year.
