Zee Learn surges 3%; Ajey Kumar steps down from MD post

The company's board of directors accepted Kumar's resignation with effect from closing hours of August 18, 2020.

Zee Learn, a part of Essel Group, witnessed huge buying sentiment on Thursday. The company's Managing Director (MD) Ajey Kumar steps down from his position. Zee Learn's stock has surged by nearly 3% on Sensex after they witnessed an intraday high of Rs16.08 per piece in early deals.

The company's board of directors accepted Kumar's resignation with effect from closing hours of August 18, 2020.

On the other hand, Zee Learn's board approved the appointment of CEO Vikas Kumar Kar as an additional director of the company in the category of executive director designated as Whole Time Director with effect from August 19, 2020.

Kar continues to hold his position as CEO of Zee Learn.

At around 1.27 pm, Zee Learn was trading at Rs15.85 per piece up 1.41% on Sensex.
