As a country it offers unique opportunities for our students to learn from global educational experiences in a highly dynamic market. We hope to continue to contribute in our own way to the Indian talent as we have been in the past with more home-grown solutions to familiar scenarios”.

The India Conference, which was started by the University of Michigan India Alumni Association (UMIAA) in 2009. The conference has been organized by the UMIAA year-on-year in India since then. Each year a topical theme related to the business and economic environment in India is selected with a variety of keynote speakers at events held in both Ann Arbor and India.

The Indian chapter has seen increase in participation from last year. The
India Business Conference 2013 has brought to the fore our youth leaders and entrepreneurs who have managed to develop businesses in unexplored markets attaining success while overcoming large challenges in their path through innovative solutions. The attitude of resolution is the way and culture of U-M establishes into its students and looks to highlight this strongly this year through the success case in points within the country itself.

India Business Conference has successfully allowed the student community, business leaders, University faculty, policy makers and renowned management thinkers, network on a single platform, through a thought provoking discussion about various aspects of India and its relationship with the United States as well as with the global economy. Now the hope is to strengthen the ties between India and U-M through the various collaborations that have been inked between Indian colleges.
