Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders pays interim dividend of Rs92.56cr to Defence Min for FY21; Stock gains 1%

With the latest dividend payment, MDL has paid a total of Rs138.73cr dividend to the government during FY 2020-21.

The Defence Ministry has announced that the Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh received an interim dividend cheque of Rs92.56cr for Financial Year (FY) 2020-21 from Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) in New Delhi.

With that, the ministry highlights that MDL has paid a total of Rs138.73cr dividend to the government during FY 2020-21 including the final dividend of Rs46.17cr for FY 2019-20.

Also, the company has declared an interim dividend of Rs109.11cr @ 54.10 per cent of equity capital for FY 2020-21, Government share being 84.83%.

At around 10.30 am, MDL trades at Rs233.55 per piece up 0.8% on Sensex. The stock has jumped to an intraday high of Rs236 per piece.
