Reliance Industries stock climbs over 3.5% after Jio hikes prepaid tariffs, new plans to go live from Dec 01

Jio's new unlimited plans will go live on December 01, 2021. These new plans can opt from all existing touchpoints and channels.

After peers Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea raised their prepaid tariffs, the Reliance Industries-led Reliance Jio also followed suit soon after. Notably, Jio has reaffirmed that customer-first commitment through new plans. Also, Jio ensured that it continues to provide the lowest tariffs and the best quality service.

Jio's new unlimited plans will go live on December 01, 2021. These new plans can opt from all existing touchpoints and channels.

Under the JioPhone Plan category, Jio is offering a new price of Rs91 with 3 GB/month, Unlimited Voice and 50 SMS as its benefits. The plan currently is valued at Rs75.

Further, in the unlimited plans, Jio's new prepaid tariffs will range from Rs155 to a maximum of Rs719 with validity varying from 28 days to 84 days. Unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS per day are offered under the majority of the plans. The data pack varies from 1GB per day to a maximum of 2GB per day on the majority of plans. However, a plan of Rs395 offers 6GB of data, Unlimited Voice and 1000 SMS benefits. Also, the lowest plan of Rs155 offers 2GB per month, unlimited voice callings and 300 SMS overall.

In the unlimited plans, currently, the prepaid tariffs are valued at Rs129 and Rs599.

Further, in the data add-ons category, Jio will be offering 6GB to 50 GB of data on plans ranging from Rs61 to 301. At present, these are valued from Rs51 to Rs251.

"These plans will provide the best value in the industry. Upholding the Jio promise of providing the best quality service at the lowest price globally, Jio customers will continue to be the biggest beneficiaries," Jio added.

At around 11.15 am, RIL stock was trading at Rs2473.70 per piece skyrocketing by Rs61.55 or 2.6% on Sensex. So far today, RIL stock has gained by 3.6% with an intraday high of Rs2497.90 per piece.
