SRF board nods expansion of Fluorocarbon Refrigerant Gas capacity at an estimated cost of Rs550cr

SRF announced that the board of directors approved a project for Expansion of Fluorocarbon Refrigerant Gas Capacity, with backward integration into key raw material, at Dahej at an estimated cost of Rs550cr.

At present, the company has an existing capacity of 50,000 MTPA with capacity utilization of 80%.

The company proposed the capacity addition of 15,000 MTPA of fluorocarbon refrigerants and certain key raw materials.

SRF said that the expansion will cater to the expected demand from the domestic and export markets.

The project is expected to complete by July 2023.

At around 1.53 pm,  SRF was trading at Rs7835.65 per piece up by 1.5% on Sensex.
