Warren Buffett, who is on his maiden visit to India, said on Tuesday that Ajit Jain has made more money for Berkshire Hathaway than he himself has.
"He (Jain) could have made a lot more money working for someone else than working for Berkshire, but he is unbelievably loyal and hardworking and unbelievably smart,” Buffett said.
Jain, who has been considered as one of the potential successors to Buffett, is the head of Berkshire's re-insurance business.
"I owe the people of India an enormous amount for sending me a person like Ajit Jain," the legendary investor said.
Buffett was replying to queries whether Ajit Jain would succeed him as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
"He (Jain) is not looking to take my job ... but he is an extraordinary person," Buffett said.
