, flagship of the Hinduja Group, had bagged an order from GSRTC (Gujarat State Roadways Corporation) for 1,290 buses. This order comes close on the back of 2,580 bus orders received from various state transport undertakings recently.

Ashok Leyland is currently the 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world and India's largest bus manufacturer. This order would further consolidate its leadership position.
Ashok Leyland Ltd is currently trading at Rs90.40 down by Rs0.35 or 0.39% from its previous closing of Rs90.75 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs90.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs91 and Rs89.30 respectively.
