Astral reports 79% growth in Q4 revenue to Rs1,127cr as demand improves

Board has recommended a final dividend of Re. 1/- per share (Face value of Re. 1/- each).

Astral Limited, pioneer in manufacturing of CPVC pipes & fittings has announced the financial results for the Quarter and year ended on 31st March, 2021.

Key Highlights:
  • Revenue from operations for quarter stood at Rs1,127.80cr, up by 79.33% from Rs628.90cr in March 2020.
  • Quarterly Net Profit at Rs174.60cr for quarter 2021, up by 241.68% from Rs51.10cr in March 2020.
  • EBITDA stood at Rs259.60cr in March 2021, up by 130.35% from Rs112.70cr in March 2020.
During the quarter, Management has decided to close the loss making business of Joint Venture company Astral Pipes Limited (Kenya) and started process for selling of its Assets. Due to which during the year the company has provided impairment on investment amounting to Rs123 Mn as exceptional item in the statement of profit and loss account.

The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Re. 1/- per share (Face value of Re. 1/- each), subject to the approval of shareholders in ensuing Annual General Meeting.

At around 10:28 AM, Astral was trading at Rs1,785.75 apiece down by Rs28.15 or 1.55% on the BSE.
