Bajaj Auto announced its sales numbers for the month of May and has reported a 29% y-o-y increase in total sales to 3,55,148 units, as compared to the same month last year. In May 2022, the company said that it has sold a total of 2,75,868 units.
Total two-wheeler sales stood at 3,07,696 units last month, up 23% y-o-y compared to 2,49,499 units in the same month of previous year.
Domestic two-wheeler sales increased to 1,94,811 units in May 2023, up against 96,102 units in May 2022, according to the company. However, exports fell to 1,12,885 units last month from 1,53,397 units in May 2022, according to the report.
Company reported an 80% y-o-y increase in total commercial vehicle sales at 47,452 units in last month, as compared to 26,369 units in the previous corresponding period.
Following this development, Bajaj Auto was trading 1.75% higher at Rs 4,647 per piece, against the previous close of Rs 4,567.15 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high of Rs 4,669.80 so far in today’s trade.
