Bannari Amman and Shiva Mills resume operations at their spinning units; Stocks mixed

The operations of the companies were affected during the second wave of Covid-19 and restrictions imposed by the Tamil Nadu government.

Textile companies Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited and Shiva Mills Limited have resumed operations at their Spinning Units from June 21, 2021. The operations of the companies were affected during the second wave of Covid-19 and restrictions imposed by the Tami Nadu government to curtail the spread of the pandemic.

“The operations are limited to the extent permitted and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu vide order dated June 20, 2021, ensuring safety and health of all stakeholders including employees from COVID-19 pandemic,” companies said in separate filings on Monday.

Ata roubnd 10.05 AM, Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Ltd was trading at Rs77 per piece down by Rs1.45 or 1.85% on the BSE.

Shiva Mills Limited was trading at Rs80.10 per piece up Rs2.20 or 2.82% on the BSE.
